• 60 minutes + 30 seconds increment per move

The tournament will also serve as the principal selection event for the Tonga team to the 2026 Chess Olympiad in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

Australian Candidate Master Tony Dowden has confirmed his participation and will assist with officiating and tournament organisation. The Tonga Chess Federation would also be very pleased to welcome additional visiting players from around the Oceania region.
